Nick is this week's lifter of the week. Nick has been training at PTC for over a year now, starting as a 92kg kid. He now tips the scales at 110kg. Lately he has only been training his weakness at PTC, his bench press. On his first session at PTC he benched 105kg. Fourteen weeks ago he started a bench specialization program. He began at a 115kg bench press. Last week he benched 140kg. Well done Nick on recognizing your main weakness and correcting it. You now bench what you look like you can bench.

Fat Dave is our lifter of the week. Dave has had a fantastic couple of weeks, pretty much breaking most of his PB's, he has cleaned 87.5kg, push pressed 87.5kg, benched 92.5kg, squatted 150kg and deadlifted 200kg. He managed 6 perfect wide grip chins and is at his lowest bodyweight since he started. He trains at PTC 6 days a week, an enormous effort considering he lives an hour away. If he continues to train hard and watch his food intake, he will jump past plenty of lifters that had a huge head start on him at the up coming comp...Bash at the Beach 3 in September. Well done Dave, keep up the good work.

Glenn has been at PTC for a couple of months now. He started out with the cardio sessions which built up great muscular endurance as well as strength. His lifting in such a short period of time is probably as good as your going to find anywhere. He has already deadlifted 200kg, squatted 140kg and powercleaned 90kg. All this from a guy weighing around 80kg. On top of all this, he is the equal to anyone during the cardio sessions. Glenn is very lean with great muscle size and shape, and everyone is noticing. Well done Glenn, lets get your shoulder right so you can get some big presses in.

Bec and Annie are the 2 lifters of the week. Both girls have surprised me by the weights they have managed to lift. It's fair to say that neither girl displayed any natural strength in the beginning, but through hard work, plenty of sessions, and a desire to get stronger, they have both managed to get well over a 300kg total. Any girl that can total 300kg is stronger than 95% of girls that train at commercial gyms. I didn't say 99% because some of you reading this would have jumped up and down, so let's just leave it at that. Well done girls, I'm proud of the effort you put in whilst lifting and away from the gym. Lifting 6-7 times a week at PTC shows great commitment. Bec:

Ryan is our lifter of the week this week. Ryan has been coming to PTC long before it was ever called PTC. He has transformed from a soft little boy into a hard, strong man. In the last few days, Ryan has squatted a PB 145kg, benched a PB 102.5kg x 5 x 5 sets and push pressed 95kg. He is currently doing 4 weight sessions a week at PTC and 1 cardio session. Congratulations Ryan, well done.

To be lifter of the week, you don't have to be the strongest lifter, you don't have to train the most, you simply need to do something that impresses me. That is not a simple thing to do. Well this week, Emma did that. She missed her Monday session, but made it up on Tuesday, something 99% of clients fail to do, then on Wednesday, she squatted 40kg, which was her PB at the start of the week, for 20 reps. This is an astonishing feat. Emma was ridiculed by her friends that she wouldn't even make it back for a second session. She now never misses a session, and her lifts are climbing very fast, she has already deadlifted 90kg and powercleaned 45kg. She actually has no idea if this is good or bad. Well done Emma

Mick has been at PTC for over a year now. He quietly goes along never attracting attention. He always does well in the Strongman competitions, managing to score in every event. Mick has had an exceptional couple of weeks at the gym. He powercleaned 90kg x 4, deadlifted 180kg x 4, squatted 141kg and clean and pressed 90kg recently. Well done Mick

Brittany is this week's lifter of the week. Anytime somebody breaks a PTC record, there is a fair chance you will be lifter of the week. This is a big deal. Brittany deadlifted 135kg. Her total is now 342.5kg, she is currently the second strongest girl lifting in the gym. Brittany has not missed a single session since she started at PTC. Her results are no accident. She has lost a fair amount of fat as well as setting lifting standards very high. Congratulations Brittany, well done
