Personal training sessions
Everybody has different needs, be it weight loss or weight gain, to get stronger, or simply to get moving again. I can tailor make a program for you and take you through your workout ensuring you are doing better on each session. The biggest problem you will encounter training at your own gym is the desire and ability to train harder and lift more weights on each session. Another hurdle is on the days when you?re just not feeling like lifting. I will simply mix the program up, I have hundreds of different workouts, you will find you will seldom repeat one, and you will never use the same weights two sessions in a row. Progress is the key in the gym, and having someone push you is a great way for you to just think about the task at hand, lifting that weight. Cardio sessions My cardio sessions came about for lifters who couldn't get in to PTC because I was booked solid. They have now become so popular that I now have clients who do nothing but cardio sessions. Before you sign up for these, I best explain something. These are very hard, and easily the best training for fat loss I have. The reason being I use heavy weights and a non stop training style where we are on the move for the whole hour. I tire one muscle group out, then instead of waiting, we move to another. We do sprinting to recover, hurdles, you name it, we?ll do it. These are suited to lifters of all levels, from first timers to the fittest, I make all the suitable adjustments. No need to book for these, simply roll up, the address in on this website, bring $20, and join the rest of the group. It?s that simple. Nutrition plans I have lots of clients who live interstate that cant train at PTC or are happy to train at their own gyms. They still need to be eating correctly. If you are unable to come up with a good nutrition plan for yourself, I can help you. I can design a plan for anyone, all I need is a picture, your height and weight, your goals, food allergies, injury and illness history. Please email or ring me to discuss further. Program design Same as above, but please add your equipment availability and times you have available for training. Beep test I have an original copy of the beep test CD and a 20m course marked out at PTC. Lots of services require a certain standard on the beep test, such as the Defence force, Police force, Fire brigade and even your sporting club. I know the Dandenong Stingrays require a certain standard depending on whether you want to play in the mid field etc. At Pines soccer club you need a 12.1 as minimum. I conduct beep testing during cardio sessions as well Powerlifting coaching This is a bit of a specialty of mine. I have trained quite a few successful powerlifters who have won State titles and set National records. I have boxes for squatting, chains, bands etc. I design progressive programs allowing lifters to train without my input if needed, as there weights, reps and sets are pre selected. I currently have 7 lifters doing a bench specialization program. All have added upwards of 10kg in 8 weeks to an already maxed out bench press, with one lifter up around 20kg increase. Progress is easy when you?re a novice, much harder when you?ve been lifting for 3 years. Olympic lifting coaching I never had the opportunity to do the Olympic lifts when I began training, which is a pity as I value these lifts extremely high. I have learnt how to teach the lifts, as evidence by Max?s efforts in the lifts. He has the highest power to weight lifted ratio in the gym by a long way. He powercleans 1 ? times bodyweight and jerks 40% over bodyweight. Nobody else is remotely close. I use Max as a teacher of the Olympic lifts, as he has a very sound understanding of them and can display them perfectly. We also teach correct front squat form, snatching, hang cleans, high pulls, one arm snatches, overhead squats. Book a session with Max if you want to learn these lifts. Anybody lifting for sport should be doing these lifts. They are irreplaceable. Sporting team sessions If you have a sporting club that you wish to bring to PTC, whether it's for a change or some specific reason, I will always accommodate. I have trained soccer and basketball teams as a whole before. It?s a fun session, that will leave most of the kids extremely taxed and stuffed, some even vomit, most first timers do. Sports specific training If you play football, soccer, cricket, basketball, netball, rugby or any other sport, and you want improvement, the best thing you can do away from your club is to become a better athlete. I have coached basketball for 10 years, played cricket and football when I was younger, have boys playing sport every weekend, I know how best to train for your sport. I have had an AFL player lift very successfully at PTC. This is a passion of mine. I have used Max as a guinea pig for most of my ideas, and have got his 20m sprinting, 100m sprinting, beep test, vertical leap and muscular strength and endurance to a level I have never heard about for a boy his age and size. He has never been beaten over 20m at PTC, and I have had 6 footballers who have played in the TAC cup and have clocked 2.70?s in testing over 20m. Max has clocked 2.69 sec. If you are serious about improving your performance on the sporting field, you are faling behind others if you are not training correctly for your sport. |
